Who May Purchase?

Anyone living in Canada or who holds a Canadian passport who will be 18 or older on Sunday, September 25th, 2022 may purchase one of our guaranteed entry packages.

Deposit

A deposit of €300 per runner, converted to CAD, plus the Running Room processing fee will be charged upon registration using the Running Room’s online registration form.  The balance of your package must be paid no later than June 1st, 2022.

Deposits are non-refundable so we highly recommend travel insurance.

Why Rates are in EUROS but you pay in CAD or US Dollars

Rates are in Euros as the event and all costs associated are in € Euros. The initial deposit will be paid in CAD but you may pay your final balance in CAD or USD to avoid having to change to Euros.

Packages

We will provide guaranteed entry only as part of a complete package which, at a minimum, must include 3 nights hotel. We can provide you with airfare options as well if you wish.  We are not permitted to sell entry only.

What’s Included in Your “Runner’s” Package

• Guaranteed entry into the 2022 BMW BERLIN-MARATHON
• Timing Chip usage
• 3 nights at the Motel One Berlin – Hauptbahnhof
• Finisher materials: medal, food and beverages, heat sheet
• A clothing bag OR a voucher for the poncho on your bib number (depending on what you have chosen at your registration)
• a goodie-bag with presents from the marathon sponsors
• A 4-day ticket for public transport via your bib

After You Register

After you register on the Running Room website and pay your deposit, Dream Travel will contact you to complete your registration process via the email address you provided. You must ensure that your email address is correct and you are responsible for monitoring it closely as Dream Travel will contact with everyone via email.

Insurance

Each year we have many people cancel due to unforeseen circumstances who did not purchase our travel insurance meaning they end up losing their package amount.  Protect yourself and your money by purchasing our Group Insurance through ManuLife.

With our insurance you will be able to cancel for insurable reasons as well as running injuries while training and we also sell a Cancel For Any Reason policy!  We offer various other insurance packages including Cancellation, Interruption, Medical and Baggage. Please note that the insurance coverage that you may have on your credit card will not cover you completely! We are unable to process insurance for those living in Quebec – please contact your local travel agency for coverage.

The Motel One Berlin – Hauptbahnhof is situated just 1.7KM from Brandenburg Gate which is beside the Start/Finish area of the marathon.  This means that you can easily walk both to the marathon in the morning and then back to the hotel post marathon without having to worry about taking public transportation.

The Motel One Berlin – Hauptbahnhof offers rooms with ONE “double” bed that is larger than a Queen bed in Canada but slightly smaller than a King bed.  Beds measure 1.8m wide by 2m long.

Prices are in € Euros and packages are based on a three night hotel stay.  Additional nights may be purchased either before and/or after the weekend.

*1 Runner Sharing – A package for those that are traveling alone and are looking for us to find them a same sex roommate.

*1 Runner/1 Non Runner – A package for either someone traveling on their own and wants their own room, or, one runner and one additional person in the room who either is not running or already has an entry. Price is the total for both people.

*2 Runners Sharing – A package for a couple or two friends, both of whom are running.  Price is per person.

Can you book my flights for me?

What are the minimum three nights we have to stay?
You may stay any three nights although the majority of the group will stay Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights in order to get to the expo and so that you won’t have to check out prior to running the marathon.

What’s the weather like?
Average September temperatures in Berlin average between +11 and +19 degrees Celsius.

How do I get to the start line and back to the hotel after the marathon?
We purposely chose the hotel that we did as it’s walking distance (1.7KM) to both the Start and the Finish area.
