GUARANTEED ENTRY and HOTEL
*2 Runners Sharing – A package for a couple or two friends, both of whom are running with entries from Dream Travel and sharing one room. Price is per person.
*1 Runner/1 Non Runner – A package for either someone traveling on their own and wants their own room, or, one runner and one additional person in the room who either is not running or already has an entry via the lottery or time qualification. As these are guaranteed entries (versus lottery, Wanda Age Group, etc), the 2025 TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS will not refund, defer or allow for a cancellation under any circumstance. That said, our policy needs to be as such:

- There is no deferral option, however, you may cancel your package for a credit, but only if we are able to resell your entry package and only if it’s prior to registration closing (expected to be in expected to be in June of 2025).
Why We Charge Fees
We must pre-purchase a large number of guaranteed, non-refundable, non-deferable entries from the 2025 TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS roughly a year in advance and when someone commits to an entry and then cancels, we then have to try and resell the entry and potentially pay name change fees and hotel fees on top of sizable bank fees. Therefore, we charge a fee when cancelling as it costs us substantially.
Purchasing applicable insurance (see below) and cancelling for an insurable reason will prevent you from losing your deposit and payments and will cover these fees as well.
If you cancel and we can resell your package, the following fees will apply:

- 15% of what you have paid if cancelling 120 days or more prior to registration closing
- 25% of what you have paid if cancelling between 14 and 119 days prior to registration closing
- 50% of what you have paid if cancelling 13 days or les prior to registration closing
- 100% of what you have paid if cancelling after registration has closed or at any time if we are unable to resell your package.
The difference between what you paid and the fee listed above will be held as a credit for you for 24 months from the time you made your last payment for this particular package. Credits may only be used for trips/packages listed on our website.
Registration is expected to close by June of 2025.

With paid insurance you will be able to cancel for insurable reasons as well as running injuries (doctors letter required) while training! Note that your credit card most-likely does not have nearly enough coverage! OR get CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason) coverage with certain policies from us when you purchase your coverage within 72 hours of placing your initial deposit!

What are the minimum four nights we have to stay?
The four included nights are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. You may choose to stay longer – just check with us for adding additional nights.
Can I stay at a different hotel?
We have a strict contract with the TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS which includes The Porter House – MGallery hotel, meaning you are unable to choose another hotel for those 4 nights.
Are these prices in CAD or AUD?
CAD Dollars.
Are there transfers from the airport to the hotel?
Although transfers are not included as all of our clients are arriving at different times, you can take the AirportLink train from the Sydney airport to the hotel in about 20 minutes.
What is the time limit for this race?
The time limit is expected to be 7 hours.
What happens if I take more than the limit?
Normally this is not an issue, but depending on how much additional time you need, you may need to run on sidewalks. Runners who take longer than the official time are not guaranteed a race medal, but usually receive one.
Do I have to pick up my race bib myself, or can someone do that for me?
Runners must pick up their own bib and no one, including family members or Dream Travel staff members, are permitted to pick up your bib on your behalf. That said, it is highly recommended that you fly in earlier rather than later in case of flight delays or cancellations.
Do you have triple and quadruple rates?
We do, please inquire with Dream Travel for exact rates based on your needs.
What’s the weather like?
Average August temperatures in Sydney range from +9 to +19 degrees Celsius.
I’m traveling solo – can you assist me with finding a roommate to save money?
Dream Travel will assist you in finding a same-sex roommate but we can’t guarantee that we can find you someone. That said, typically anyone who registers prior to July is matched up and the earlier you register the better the odds.
I need to cancel; can you help me?
This really depends on when you cancel and whether or not you purchased the correct insurance. If you purchased insurance and are cancelling for an included reason, or you purchased the CFAR insurance, then you can cancel at any time but you must let us know as soon as you need to cancel. If you did not purchase insurance, then it’ll depend on when you cancel and if we can resell your package. Contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do everything we can to assist you!
