ADD-ON OPTION 1 – OKTOBERFEST
After running the 2025 BMW BERLIN-MARATHON, join Stephen Price of Dream Travel for Oktoberfest as you absolutely can’t go to Germany during Oktoberfest and not take part in this world renown event!

This escorted add on includes:
-A train ride from Berlin to Munich (one way)
-3 nights at the Munich Marriott with daily breakfast
-Private Munich City Tour
-Private coach to Neuschwanstein Castle (inspired the Disney castle), Alpine village Garmisch and Schloss Linderhof

ADD-ON OPTION 2 – RUN, EAT, and TOUR WITH DEAN KARNAZES in GREECE!
We couldn’t be more excited to tell you that famous runner, author, marathon historian and all-around great guy, Dean Karnazes, will be hosting a 4 night, fully escorted running tour in Athens, Greece.
As you will have just run the Berlin Marathon, Dean will ensure that each day consists of short, easy recovery jogs between museums, sites, restaurants and shots of ouzo!  This is the perfect way to recover from the marathon and with Dean!  You don’t need to be an ultrarunner or fast to take part in this small group tour!
This escorted add on includes:

-4 nights at the 5* Divani Palace Acropolis Hotel and daily breakfast
-Airport transfers
-Runs with Dean Karnazes on 3 days

RACE DATE
Sunday September 21, 2025

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
It is up to each person to ensure they meet all travel requirements, including but not limited to vaccine status, passport validity, visas, etc.

YOUR BOOKING DETAILS
Your booking details (dates of stay, hotel name and address, package type) will be listed on your invoice that we send out. When you receive it, please let us know if there are any errors.

HOTEL CHANGES/DATES OF STAY CHANGES
To ensure you don’t have to move rooms or hotels, please request your additional nights as soon as possible. The group hotel has limited space!

RACE BIB COLLECTION
Each runner must pick up their own bib at the race expo and need to show either their driver’s license or their passport along with their Start Card.  There is no race day bib collection.

START CARD/WRIST BAND
Your Start Card is required to pick up your bib from the expo along with your government-issued ID. The BMW BERLIN-MARATHON will email this to you closer to the date of the marathon.

At the Race Expo you will be issued a wristband that you must not take off until after you finish the marathon.

RACE EXPO
The Race Expo is located at the former Airport Tempelhof.

Friday 10AM – 8PM
Saturday 9AM – 7PM

GETTING TO THE RACE EXPO
From the Crowne Plaza, walk to Hallesches Tor (900m) and take the U train 2 stops to U Platz der Luftbrucke (direction of Alt-Mariendorf). From there walk to the former airport (500m).  Roughly 22 minutes in total.

All runners will receive a free transportation card via email that is good for zones A, B and C and for 3 days.

RACE DAY
In order to run the marathon, you must show up with:
1 – Your race bib
2 – Your wristband that was issued at the Race Expo

If you want to walk over to the start area with Dream Travel, we will meet runners in the lobby. Time to be announced at a later date.


SIX STAR PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS WITH ABBOTT WORLD MARATHON MAJORS
Any runner who is completing their Six Star journey must have a complete profile on the Six Star website, claim all previous results and register no later than 14 days before the sixth race.  If you fail to do this, you will NOT receive the Six Star medal at the finish line.

Dream Travel will be onsite all weekend long.

EMERGENCY CONTACT
We will add an emergency cell number one week prior to the marathon. This is ONLY for emergency contact.

Start Cards and Final Instructions
Two or three weeks prior to the marathon you will receive your start card information as well as details on your bib pick-up and transit ticket.

All mailed start cards will be available to download from your personal user account.

Offline Maps
Consider downloading an offline map of Berlin so that you are able to search for directions upon arrival, even if you don’t have WiFi.  Services like Google Maps works well for offline maps.

Getting to the Group Hotel from Berlin Brandenburg Airport
You may take a taxi or Uber to get to the Group Hotel, or you can take public transportation. Below are the current details, but please use your online map app upon arrival in case there are any changes:

-Take the Berliner Airport bus from Terminal 1-2 to Rudow (2 stops)
-Take the U train to U Mockernbrucke for 16 stops (U7 Rathaus Spandau)
-Walk 450m to the hotel

Checking in to Your Hotel
As this is a group booking, no booking number/reference is required. Simply check in by name, with ID and with a credit card for incidentals.

Spectator Information:

Is there a meeting point for families and friends?
You are able to meet up with your family and friends after the race in the family reunion area in front of the Paul-Löbe-Haus at the sign with the first letter of your last name.

Will there be seats for the spectators in the finish area?
There will be stands on both sites right before the finish.This stands are for free. Your families and friends can watch you finishing live or on a big screen.

Is it possible to cross the course?
It is possible to cross the course but please take account of the runners. Crossing the Marathon cours is only possible in the finsish area at the Pariser Platz. Please follow the instructions of the helpers.

Getting to/from the Marathon Start
We chose the Crowne Plaza as it’s roughly a 15-18 minute walk to the entry of the park where the marathon starts and finishes.  You can take public transportation if you prefer.
Restaurants Close to the Group Hotel
Although we can’t recommend any restaurants, here is a list of restaurants close to the group hotel.

WAVE STARTS
There will be 4 waves to alleviate the strain of having everyone start at the same time starting at 9:15AM.

You will each be assigned a Wave Start based on your estimated completion time and the marathon will email you your information closer to the race date.

PERSONALIZE YOUR SHIRT
Are you interested in having Berliners personalize your run? Write your name on your race shirt (or masking tape) in large letters across your chest and people will call out to you and encourage you as you run!

Generali 5K

This is a paid event and you must register online.
When:   10AM
Where: The start is at Potsdamer Platz and the finish on Straße des 17. Juni after the Brandenburg Gate.
Runners must pick up their race materials at the Marathon Expo on either Thursday or Friday.

Sunday, September 21 – RACE DAY!
