The Virgin Money London Marathon is the hardest entry to get but we have a limited amount of entries available for 2021!

Since 2004, Dream Travel Canada has been offering guaranteed entry packages to some of the biggest and most prestigious events on the planet and we’re proud to say that we are an official International Tour Operator of the VMLM.

Who May Purchase?

Any Canadian holding a Canadian passport and who will be 18 or older on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021 may purchase one of our guaranteed entry packages.

Initial Deposit

An initial deposit (see amounts above) is required to hold an entry. Entries may not be held without a deposit. The balance of your package must be paid no later than May 1st, 2021.

Deposits are non-refundable so we highly recommend travel insurance.

Covid Guarantee

If the race is cancelled or postponed your deposit(s) and payment(s) will be applied to the new event.  If London offers refunds as they did in 2020, we will extend that refund to you.

We Will Sell Out

Entries into the Virgin Money London Marathon are extremely limited and are the most sought after marathon entry which means we will sell out. That said, entries will not be held under any circumstances without a deposit. We highly recommend that you register early to avoid disappointment!

Why Rates are in Pounds (£)

As you are traveling to the UK for this event, both the hotels and the VMLM charge in Pounds and therefore we must charge the same to avoid having to build in an exchange buffer due to the constantly changing CAD. This ends up saving you money!


We will provide guaranteed entry only as part of a package that includes a minimum of 3 nights hotel. We can provide you with airfare options as well if you wish.  We are not permitted to sell entry only.

  • 3 nights hotel at the Holiday Inn Bloomsbury or the DoubleTree London West End
  • Finisher materials: medal, food and beverages

Looking for a Roommate?

If you are looking to save some money and have Dream Travel try and find you a same-sex roommate, please indicate this at the time of registration.  Although this is not a guaranteed service, we usually are able to find roommates for everyone who lets us know prior to February 1st, and, the sooner you register the better your chances.

After You Apply

After you apply Dream Travel will contact you to complete your registration process via the email address you provided. You must ensure that your email address is correct and you are responsible for monitoring it closely as Dream Travel will contact with everyone via email.


Each year we have many people cancel due to unforeseen circumstances who did not purchase our travel insurance meaning they end up losing their package amount.  Under no circumstances does the VMLM permit postponing your marathon if you need to cancel so protect yourself and your money by purchasing our Group Insurance through ManuLife.

With our insurance you will be able to cancel for insurable reasons as well as running injuries while training!  We offer various insurance packages including Cancellation, Interruption, Medical and Baggage. For full details on coverage, please click here: Manulife Financial.

Please note that the insurance coverage that you may have on your credit card will not cover you completely! We are unable to process insurance for those living in Quebec – please contact your local travel agency for coverage.

Not Included with your Package

Travel insurance, airfare, meals, transportation to the start or back and items of a personal nature are not included in your package.

Late Fees

Neither the VMLM nor the hotels in London will accept late payments from us under any circumstance.  That said, we must have your final payment in by the deadline, else we have to charge the following late fees:

-£50 for any payment that’s between 1 and 7 days late

-£100 for any payment that’s between 7 and 14 days late

Those that do not pay within 14 days of their payment due date may lose their package and deposit as London will not refund us.

All prices are in Pounds (£).  We are not permitted to sell entry only.

Prices are PER ROOM for 1 Runner/1 non runner. All other prices are PER PERSON.

1 Runner Sharing is for those looking for a roommate.

Runner (Single) is for those runners traveling to London without a roommate.



All packages include 3 nights hotel: Friday October 1st, Saturday October 2nd, Sunday October 3rd. Additional nights may be purchased:

Hotels will sell out so please decide as early as you can if you wish to add extra nights.

As you must go to the Running Show (race expo) to collect your own bib (no exceptions) you must land in London no later than Friday although we highly recommend that you come at least one or two days earlier to get over jetlag and in case of flight delays or cancellations.


What happens if the race is cancelled or postponed?

If London cancels the race and they offer a refund like they did in 2020, we will extend that offer to you. If London postpones the race then your payments will be applied to the new event. Either way you’ll still get to run the event and your payments will be secure.

What happens if I need to cancel?

You may cancel if we have enough time to resell your package. The fee to cancel is £100 prior to May 1st and £150 after May 1st. We highly recommend travel insurance.

May I stay at a different hotel than what’s listed?

Unfortunately not as we have contracts in place with the two listed hotels.

What are the minimum three nights that we have to stay?

Due to the timing of the event, the three included nights are Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights in order to get to the Running Show (race expo) and so that you won’t have to check out prior to running the marathon.

Are there transfers from the airport to the hotel?

Transfers are not included.

Do you have triple and quadruple rates?

Due to the sizes of the rooms, triple and quadruple rooms are not available.

I’m traveling solo – can you assist me with finding a roommate to save money?

Dream Travel will assist you in finding a same-sex roommate but we can’t guarantee that we can find you someone. That said, typically anyone who registers prior to February is matched up and the earlier you register the better the odds.

May I fundraise for this event and travel for free?

You absolutely can although it’s not required. We work with both Crohn’s and Colitis Canada and the MS Society of Canada. And, we are able to work with a charity not listed.  Contact us for more information on how you can run this event for free! To run the 2021 event for free, however, you would need to pay your deposit and payments in advance and the fundraise for a refund since there’s not enough time.

How much do I need to fundraise?

If you choose to fundraise for your package, you will need to fundraise roughly three times the cost of your package to meet Canadian law.

When do I have to have my fundraising completed by?

The deadline will be set by the charity but since you are paying in advance and then fundraising to obtain a refund, typically you would have roughly one year to fundraise.
