*All runners MUST attend the expo in person in order to obtain your bib.  No one may pick up on your behalf.

How To Register

Step 3 – Receive follow up information from Dream Travel

Guaranteed Entry from Dream Travel and the Running Room

Guaranteed entry is included with the purchase of one of our packages and are not sold separately under any circumstances.  Our packages include Guaranteed Entry and hotel.  Airfare is not included.

Who May Purchase?

Anyone who will be 18 or older on Sunday, October 13th, 2024 and who holds a Canadian passport or is living full time in Canada with proof may purchase one of our guaranteed entry packages.  If you do not hold a Canadian passport and a Canadian address, please contact us before registering.

Deposits and Final Payment

An initial deposit of CAD250 per runner plus the Running Room processing fee will be charged upon registration using the Running Room’s online registration form. The CAD250 will be converted to USD and deducted from the package price.

A second deposit of US750 must be paid by January 31, 2024.

The balance of your package must be paid by June 1st, 2024.

Deposits and payments are non-refundable, so we highly recommend travel insurance.  We sell an insurance that allows you to cancel for any reason!

Not Included with your Package

Travel insurance, airfare, meals and items of a personal nature are not included in your package.

Packages

We will provide guaranteed entry only as part of a complete package which includes a 3 night hotel stay. We are not permitted to sell entry only.

Insurance

Protect yourself and your money by purchasing our Group Insurance through Manulife. Due to the costs associated with this trip, the pandemic and because you will not be traveling until September, we highly recommend purchasing our travel insurance. With paid insurance you will be able to cancel for insurable reasons as well as running injuries while training! Insurance covers: Cancellation, Interruption, Medical and Baggage. Please note that the insurance coverage that you may have on your credit card will not cover you completely! We are unable to process insurance for those living in Quebec – please contact your local travel agency for coverage.

Due to the pandemic, we also include a Cancel For Any Reason clause on some policies.  Please inquire about this insurance and note that it must be purchased within 72 hours of placing your deposit.

Looking For a Roommate?

If you are looking to save some money and have Dream Travel find you a same-sex roommate, please indicate this at the time of registration.  Please note that we can not guarantee a roommate.

Our group hotel will be the brand new (as of March 2024) Residence Inn Magnificent Mile which is a 2KM walk to the marathon start and a 2.5KM walk from the finish line.

All rooms have full kitchens with a full-sized refrigerator, cooktop stove and microwave.  WiFi is also included in all of our rooms!

Prices are in USD and packages are based on a three night hotel stay.  Additional nights are available and pricing is listed below.

*2 Runners Sharing – A package for two runners sharing one room, both of whom are purchasing an entry package from Dream Travel. This package is also for single runners purchasing an entry package from Dream Travel and who are wanting us to find them a same sex roommate. Price is per runner.

*1 Runner/1 Spectator – A package for one runner who is either traveling on their own and wants their own room, or, one runner and one additional person in the room who either is not running or already has an entry. Price is the total for both people.

Is airfare included?
Airfare is not included.

What are the minimum three nights we have to stay?
You may stay any three nights although the majority of the group will stay Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights in order to get to the expo and so that you won’t have to check out prior to running the marathon.

What’s the weather like?
Average October temperatures in Chicago average between +8 and +18 degrees Celsius.  Perfect for running!

How do I get to the start line and back to the hotel after the marathon?
We have chosen a brand new hotel (as of March 2024) that is within walking distance to both the race start and finish as transportation will be difficult post marathon.
